What is a cabin air filter and when should you change it?

A cabin air filter cleans the air that comes into the interior of your vehicle. The filter catches pollen, dust, and other unpleasant materials found in the air. Kenny is holding a dirty filter on the left and a clean one on the right.

It is recommended that you change your cabin air filter yearly or every 15,000 miles. If you are someone who lives on gravel, has allergies, or respiratory problems you might want to consider changing it more frequently. When you bring your vehicle into Elysian Auto Service we always take a photo of your filter and include it in your 42-Point Digital Inspection.
