A: Tires should be
rotated every six months or 6000 to 8000 miles.
I usually rotate my tires and change the oil simultaneously.
Q: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BALANCE TIRES?
A: This is the process when a technician will use a
calibrated spin balances to restore your tires to the proper balance. The
technician will know how much weight to add and where to attach it the
wheel/tire. Your tires should have even-wear and equal in weight as
possible. This will promote a smooth and
comfortable ride. Imbalanced tires will have a up and down hobble or wobble.
Last, a balance and tire rotation are usually done together.
A: Tire alignment involves correcting the forward-facing position
of the tires. Over time, the wheels can
rotate slightly to the left or right and the cause is that the wheels are
working against each other. The outcome
or results is a pulling or swaying to the left or right or a vibration.
Furthermore, tires out of alignment can cause uneven tread wear. One way to
know if your vehicle is out of alignment is to pay attention to your steering
wheel. If the steering wheel is crooked while driving straight, then you
may need an alignment.

A DIFFERENCE?
A: Snow tires make a huge difference and places the driver
in an advantage position because the tread patterns
And special compounds are designed for grip and traction on
ice and snow.
Q: WINTER & SNOW TIRES VS ALL SEASON TIRES?
Winter tires and Snow tires use a flexible and softer
compound that provides better grip in the ice, sleet, snow and winter. Driver
will have a sense of confidence and a feeling of control when driving in these
adverse conditions. There is usually a
snowflake symbol on the sidewall of the tires, and this symbolizes the tire
adheres to a snow traction standard according to the USTMS. On the other hand,
all season tires are manufactured and designed for a long smooth and quiet ride
in most conditions. The tread life for all season tires is usually longer with
even tread-wear. Last, all season tires
should perform well in wet and dry conditions.
